A Hudson Valley Farm by G. P. Schafer Architect

G. P. Schafer Architect designed this exceptional Hudson Valley Farm.  We've posted a few photos below, but you can learn more by visiting the G. P. Schafer Architect website at www.gpschafer.com.

"A large farm with dramatic views is the setting for this newly completed stone farmhouse and outbuildings.  The 9,000 square foot Colonial Revival main house, built of Connecticut granite, was designed to appear to have grown and evolved over time.  A 3,500 wood and stone Carriage Barn, a small stone Gardener's Shed, and a Pool and Pool Cabana create a precinct of buildings surrounding the house and anchor it in a landscape developed by (G. P. Schafer) in collaboration with noted landscape designer Deborah Nevins.

"The project's interior has been designed to reinforce the idea that house grew over time, with the interior architecture and moldings rooted in the American Federal Period suggested by the antique Hudson Valley mantels found for the house." -- G. P. Schafer Architect
