{idea notebook} A Beautiful Book Page Wreath

There is something timeless about aged book pages. I love how they start to crinkle and turn various shades of amber. I love that they seem nostalgic and sentimental and convey thoughtfulness. So during this season of reflection I think it is simply perfect to create a wreath from old, (timeless) treasured words. I love the thought of them hanging in quite moments throughout homes conveying messages for those who pass by or giving small versions as gifts to loved ones. Here's wishing a warm, happy and lovely holiday to all...

Making a winter wreath

I thought I would try to make a winter wreath, it was fun and made the house smell good! I went to the craft store to picked up the supplies. A metal frame, some wire and a few decorations.  I didn't even need to use the wire (except for the hanging of it). I just tucked the branches around it, and they held into place. When you are taking clippings from the trees, try to get the baby branches, they are much easier to work with. It was pretty inexpensive to make, 11 dollars. I think if I can find a pretty ribbon I might make a bow for it?
