One of the simple pleasures in life is gathering with family and friends. I love when this happens spontaneously... on a whim... when a meal is thrown together with the contents of your refrigerator. The tables above are perfect reflections of this ease; effortless gathering when centerpieces are simple and chairs can be mismatched. I am loving the use of old fabric as table coverings, pitchers filled with fresh cut flowers, flea market art work filling the walls, an unset table with stacks of plates and silverware, vintage bowls of fresh green fruit... it is undone and relaxed...like a lazy afternoon.
